Online (Zoom)A Poor People’s History of Wall Street – Film & Discussion
Vermont Workers’ Center
“A Poor People’s History of Wall Street” will take us through the concrete canyons of the command center for global capitalism and ask us to think about these questions: Who does Wall Street benefit? How does Wall Street operate in society? And is the stock market the best way to measure the health of a society?
We’ll take 30 minutes to vicariously walk the streets of Lower Manhattan, along with leaders of the New York State Poor People’s Campaign, as we trace the history of Wall Street, then discuss the film and Wall Street’s connections to our history and our current struggles with John Wessel-McCoy, who led the Wall Street History Tour.
